Kole's Krew Thank YOU!!!

Kole’s Krew Great Strides 2011
We had a great day in Sioux Falls on June 4, 2011 for our second Great Strides event for Kole’s Krew. The weather was awesome and new records were set for Kole’s Krew and for Great Strides Sioux Falls. We had 52 walkers volunteer for our team and helped to bring the total number walking to well over 500, representing more than 30 teams. The grand total raised for the event was more than $165,000, also a new record. We were pleased with the group’s efforts to follow the theme for the year, Blow Away Cystic Fibrosis.

All of the money raised is used by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to continue the much needed research for treatments and therapies for patients who have this disease. We are so impressed how the walker teams making up Kole’s Krew were able to find friends, relatives and corporate sponsors across our area who were willing to support our efforts with contributions. In fact, we were surprised to exceed $20,000 for our team’s efforts.

We are humbled by the level of support our team has received over the last year. We want to thank each of you for your support of our effort and you can know your donations will be used to continue the hard work that is taking place every day to find the cure for this disease. The CF Foundation has been successful in moving the research forward this year and they promise to continue their efforts until CF stands for "Cure Found".

We know there are many choices for your charitable dollars each year. We sincerely thank you for choosing to support our walk team this year and being involved with Kole’s Krew. We were proud to represent each of you by the mass of yellow shirts that walked on the trail system of Sioux Falls SD. We pray each of you will have a great summer.

This week the CFF announced some great news about a clinical trial that has shown effectiveness on the Delta F508 mutation. Since this is the mutation causing Kole’s CF, we praise God donations such as yours, and events like Great Strides, provide support for these research projects and the great scientists making the discoveries.
